Earth Day Playdate

There is something so special about Earth Day. It is such an awesome reminder to stop and wonder about how amazingly intricate this Earth was created by God himself. It is our temporary home that is just so vast and full of wonder, that in the time of all humanity, we still never stop discovering new things. Kids are the perfect little explorers who are full with so much wonder. They make you stop and realize, the things that we over look so often as adults, to be so miraculous.

As a way to celebrate Earth Day, the children brought recycled containers to plant seeds in. They shoveled in the dirt and sprinkled in the tiny seeds of different types flowers. My daughter was so anxious to see her flowers grow, that she told me she was going to sit there and wait until they came out of the dirt ;)

Happy Earth Day everyone!

Daffodil Walk @ JMU Arboretum

After a very, very unusually long winter, the weather has finally warmed up! We were anxiously awaiting for a warm day to have a play date outdoors! For this play date, we went to JMU Arboretum for the Annual Daffodil Walk. Although this structured walk wasn't going to work well with our children wanting to run and explore, we had a wonderful time walking the trails of this shaded park. It was so nice to spread a blanket, have a picnic and enjoy watching the kiddos frolic in the grass and soak in sun. Kids really aren’t meant to be inside, that is why we plan to make as many outdoor play dates as possible during the spring/summer season. So be on the look out and come on out and let’s explore together!
