Dr. Seuss at Chic-Fil-A!

Author of 54 children's books, Theodore Seuss Geisel, aka, Dr. Seuss, was an amazing writer, whose books are still read and loved today! In honor of his talent and books, Chic-Fil-A held a family event to celebrate the children's author and his wonderful books. Reading should be a part of every child's life because with books Oh, The Places You'll Go! Make-Your-Own-Crepes Playdate

Nothing makes breakfast more delicious than crepes, especially when you get to choose your own toppings! After a yummy start off to the day, the children enjoyed quality time together, enjoying another blessed day from The Lord! And of course we moms loved watching them play and chit-chat as well. Come & Play at Chick-Fil-A!

Every Thursday, our local Chick-Fil-A does a Come & Play Story-time filled with stories and crafts. Of course, the play area is a nice addition to any play date! Not to mention, the children get hungry after all the fun.

The kids got to listen to three stories, then color an adorable puppy. The variety of coloring and drawing was quite interesting to see from our youngest to our oldest member of the playgroup. In the play area, most of the children ran around, while some hung back and played close to the moms. Each child's personality shows in all that we do!

After the running around, some of us grabbed a bit of food to energize ourselves. It was so precious when the children closed their eyes, folded their hands, and said grace before eating. I would say it truly was another blessed time together! Cannot wait until the next play date. There sure is a lot to look forward to, especially when the weather gets warm! Valentine's Day Playdate

“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love.
    With unfailing love I have drawn you with loving-kindness."

As we walked into Lena's house, we were enchanted by the beautiful Valentine's decorations and food.  God truly shows us His love every day through children, beauty, friendship, and so much more!

We started out with making a heart craft by decorating it with colorful stickers.  Each heart had a verse on it about God's great love!  It was very fun and interesting to watch each child at their different levels decorating their hearts.  I hope each of their little hearts can always be filled with love for our wonderful God.

After working so hard on their craft, the children got hungry (and so did we moms, helping them out and all). We enjoyed some yummy and healthy (and possibly some unhealthy) snacks.  Once they were all fueled up on energy, the children had a blast playing, while us moms got to chat a bit.  Somehow in all that playing, we fit in a children's story about God's love.  Then, it was back to playing!

A big thanks to Lena and Emily for such a nice Valentine's play date.  And thanks to Anastasia, Andrew, and Ellie for yummy snacks and joining the fun.  Matthew and I had a blast.
